One of the best holidays we have ever had. The house was lovely and comfortable and the gardens were beautiful, but what made our stay truly special was Teresa and her family. They were so warm and welcoming that we felt at home from the moment we arrived. The food deserves a mention all of its own. Teresa cooked for us with real generosity and the flavours were exceptional, made with produce from their own land. We even came home with tomatoes, cantucci and vin santo, and we're still trying to recreate her wonderful cake! My Italian is very basic, but Teresa was endlessly patient and our chats were one of the highlights of the trip. Ruby had a fantastic time too and made a firm friend in Bruce. You can see the passion this family puts into everything they do. If you want a beautiful place to stay and a real taste of Italian hospitality, we can't recommend it highly enough. We will definitely be back.
Martinelli's is a great place, we ate there several times--great for families and dog friendly. Delicious food, welcoming staff, relaxed dining at its best Il Fornello was slightly more refined food but equally welcoming; great menu and delicious food, Again, dog friendly.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. We are delighted to hear that you had such a special stay and enjoyed the warm welcome from Teresa and her family, as well as her wonderful cooking and local produce. We hope to welcome you back to Tuscany soon!
