Près du château de Tignano, San Romolo s'étend à 3 km d'un hameau médiéval pittoresque, Barberino Val d'Elsa. Cette ferme a été entièrement restaurée pour en faire une maison de vacances confortable entourée de sérénité par des oliveraies et des vignobles.
Dans le jardin se trouve une grande piscine offrant une vue magnifique des collines qui entourent la propriété. La piscine est entourée de lits de bain. Dans les jardins de San Romolo ont été construits un four en pierre et un barbecue.
En entrant dans la maison, sur votre gauche, vous trouvez un salon qui donne sur une plus grande pièce à vivre. Dans cette pièce, se trouvent un téléviseur satellite et un lecteur CD. Au fond de la pièce, un petit vestibule mène à une chambre double et à une petite salle de bains avec douche vestiaire.
Quelques marches en contrebas du salon, on trouve une cuisine entièrement équipée (plaque de cuisson au gaz, réfrigérateur/freezer, lave-vaisselle, four et machine à laver). Cette pièce compte une table pouvant accueillir 10 personnes. La cuisine s'ouvre sur une terrasse aménagée, idéale pour les repas à la fraîche.
Le premier étage dispose de 3 chambres qui offrent toutes une vue splendide sur la campagne toscane. Il y a deux chambres doubles et une chambre jumelle. Le sol est en parquet. Il y a 2 salles de bain avec douche
Également sur la propriété, on retrouve un petit studio qui comprend un séjour avec kitchenette, une chambre double et une salle de bain avec douche. Celui-ci a accès au jardin et à une petite terrasse.
La villa San Romolo est mitoyenne avec une autre villa, mais elle bénéficie d'un jardin, d'une terrasse et d'une piscine privés.
Lors de votre séjour à San Romolo, le propriétaire peut organiser des séances de massages (massages ayurvédiques, shiatzu, reiki) pour votre plus grand plaisir.
Sur simple demande, il peut également réserver pour vous dans l'un des restaurants du coin pour le jour de votre arrivée.
La maison est bien meublée, avec de nombreux meubles anciens.

Infos Piscine
The pool is located lower than the house, in a private sheltered corner of the garden. It overlooks the surrounding Tuscan hills dotted with hamlets and covered with olive groves, vineyards and woods.
Autour de la piscine, les transats sont une invitation à la détente pour profiter de la vue et de la chaleur de Toscane.
La piscine mesure 12 x 6 m, sur 1,60 m de profondeur. Elle est ouverte de juin à septembre.
Ville la plus proche
Barberino Val d'Elsa, à 2 km de là, est le village le plus proche. C'est un petit hameau, mais des magasins y sont implantés. Il y a un autre village, Tavernelle, qui se trouve à 3 km et où vous trouverez des restaurants et un supermarché. Dans la ville de Poggibonsi, à 10 km, un grand supermarché et un vaste choix de magasins sont implantés. Un excellent restaurant que vous nous recommandons d'essayer est La Fattoria, qui se situe juste avant Tavernelle

Overall impression: Perfect for us.
Highlights: Every day was a highlight! We especially enjoyed our dinners prepared and served by Mario. Anna and Katarina--the food was delicious and we fell in love with all 3 of them!!
Unpleasant surprises: The mold etc. in the kitchen(which was cleaned on Sunday) and the shower in the first floor bathroom--it did not drain!! [Our response: we have informed the owner who is resolving the issue]
This was a family vacation (all adults) and it was a "Practically Perfect" vacation for 8 people--ages 29-68, and that is quite remarkable!! Thank you for a wonderful and happy, happy Italian experience with memories to last a lifetime!!

Just a note to let you know that we all (10 of us ranging from 5 - 65 ) had a fantastice time in Italy. The house was super very comfortable and cool when it was really hot. All the bathrooms and beds were absolutely spotless.
The pool was a real hit with the kids and we particularly loved the lights around it when we went for our evevning dips. The locality was truly beautiful the views from the garden stunning, and the local town of Ta vernelle proved to be a real hotspotin the evevning when it came alive for outdoor concerts with lots of yummy ice cream.
We would recommend it to anyone and would return tomorrow if we could. Top place visited was Siena, top pizzeria in Barbarino - Archibugio and ice cream shop in Tav Il quinta a hit with the kids and the adults too!
Lovely owner living locally was a real bonus too as she booked lots of restaurants museums doctors appointments etc etc nothing was too much trouble.
We feel as if we only scratched the surafce of Tuscany and will definitely return.

Yes, there is a 12 x 6 meters, 1.60meters deep pool open from June to September.

No there is no phone in the villa; there is a public phone in the village Barberino Val d'Elsa a few minutes drive away. In some tobacconist shops there is a fax. Most larger villages and towns have an Internet cafe.

How far are the airports?
Florence 30minutes, Pisa 1hour 20 mins, Bologna 1hour 40mins, Rome 3hours 50mins.
When do I get road directions?
Directions are provided with your final confirmation, after full payment is received.
Where do I find the directions?
The directions can be found as a link on your final confirmation email. They can also be accessed by logging into your booking details using your useremail and password.
What is the cost of the dinners?
The owner can provide dinners at various prices, you must book at least 2 days in advance so that the cook is available for the day that you require. When booking please also confirm the number of people (minimum 6) and time you wish to eat.
All dinners include 3 Starters, 2 first courses, second course with 2 side dishes and 2 desserts.
Children under 10 pay half price.
Prices range from 30 to 60 Euro depending on the menu.
The items of the menus will be typical Tuscan and at the discretion of the cook based on available local produce. Drinks are included. The owners can also make home-made pizza on request.
On arrival you can be provided with further information and a confirmation of the prices for the meals.

Le site est très beau. Superbe piscine avec vue sur les collines toscanes. Bon emplacement pour rayonner dans la région .De plus, le propriétaire était très agréable et discret, juste ce qu'il faut!nous avons apprécie son attention pour notre arrivée : une bonne bouteille de Chianti! Au niveau du logement : très bon équipement , tout était fourni.
