Poggio del Gallo est une villa bien restaurée à 6 m seulement de la charmante ville d'Arezzo. Depuis son emplacement en hauteur sur la colline, la villa bénéficie de vues imprenables sur la vallée à ses pieds et sur Arezzo dans le lointain.
Les jardins de la villa, avec leurs belles pelouses vertes et leurs oliveraies typiques, sont très bien entretenus. À proximité de la villa, à flanc de colline, est installée une grande piscine avec terrasse en bois, qui offre une vue spectaculaire.
La maison a été restaurée et divisée en plusieurs suites, chacune ayant sa propre cuisine et petit salon, garantissant aux résidents un minimum d'intimité. Les suites communiquent par un escalier central qui mène à une grande salle à manger et à un vaste salon avec TV satellite, où les résidents peuvent se retrouver et partager un bon repas.
Adjacentes à cette grande salle à manger, on trouve une salle de bain et une cuisine toute équipée pour la préparation des repas. La cuisine donne dans le jardin où l'on retrouve une grande terrasse couverte avec barbecue et four à pizza.
Cette villa compte 3 suites, toutes situées à un étage différent. La première se situe au rez-de-chaussée. Elle a accès au jardin par l'une de ses chambres, et par le petit coin repas. Il y a une deuxième chambre et une salle de bain avec douche.
La deuxième suite se trouve au premier étage et se compose de deux chambres avec chacune une salle de bain avec douche. Le séjour donne accès à une grande terrasse ensoleillée qui donne sur l'arrière de la maison. Il y a un canapé convertible une place dans cette suite.
La troisième suite se trouve au deuxième étage. Elle dispose d'une chambre, d'une salle de bain avec douche, et d'un grand séjour. La chambre et le salon s'ouvrent sur une petite terrasse offrant une très belle vue. Il y a un canapé convertible deux places dans cette suite.
Dans le salon, quelques marches d'escalier vous mènent à la cuisine dotée d'une table pour quatre personnes. Il s'agit d'un coin très confortable de cette troisième suite.
Dans l'un des nombreux patios, on trouve un beau barbecue en pierre avec four électrique intégré, barbecue au charbon de bois, et four à pizza au feu de bois. À côté, il y a une terrasse, idéalement située pour les dîners à la fraîche.
Toutes le chambres sont des chambres doubles. Cependant, elles peuvent, sur simple demande, être transformées en chambres jumelles.
Les animaux domestiques ne sont pas acceptés.

Infos Piscine
La piscine est à quelques pas de la maison, au pied d'un sentier pavé. Elle se trouve à flanc de colline et offre une superbe vue sur la vallée qu'elle surplombe et sur les collines au loin, ponctuées de villages. Le clocher d'Arezzo est visible de là.
La piscine est entourée d'une terrasse meublée. Au-dessus du pool house, se trouve une seconde terrasse exposée au soleil toute la journée.
La piscine mesure 5 x 10 m, avec une profondeur allant de 1 m à 1,80 m. Elle est ouverte de mai à septembre.
Ville la plus proche
À deux minutes en voiture de la ville se trouve un petit village avec une petite épicerie. À 6 km dans Arezzo, vous trouverez un grand supermarché et de nombreux restaurants. La pizzeria La Pala d’Oro est la plus proche de la villa, à quelques minutes seulement en voiture.

Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your fabulous family home. We all had a very special time, relaxing, swimming and tasting the local chiantis on the top of the Tuscan hills in the sunshine. You were a perfect host and gentleman throughout our stay. We hope you enjoyed hearing our children laughing as much as we did as they swam and ran around all day and into the evenings.
You have created a perfect holiday home for families. It's location was beautiful, (some days we were higher than the clouds) with stunning views from both the house, the gardens and the pool. The space in each of the bedroom floors was fantastic as it was in the communal areas and we made good use of the outdoor oven, bbq and pizza oven. Isabella at the vineyard Pallazo (200m below your house) was very friendly, her wine was outstanding and she recommended a fabulous Tuscan country grilled meats restaurant in the hills behind the house.
The people of Antria were all lovely, smiling and saying hello each time we passed them on walks or morning runs. We couldn't have asked for more.
Even the delights of Florence, Arezzo and Cortona couldn't stop us returning each evening to watch the sun go down from your garden.
Thank you for making our holiday in Tuscany so memorable. We will certainly be recommending Poggio Del Gallo to others.

What were the highlights of your holiday? Visiting the nearby restaurants and hanging out by the pool with a view of Arezzo. We also enjoyed our day trips to Pisa, Perugia, and Florence.
what was your overall impression of the accommodation? It was great. A little hard to find. Roberto Marchi was very accomodating. The pool was spectacular and the house was large and beautiful.
Did you have any unpleasant surprises? The evenings were quite warm, and there was not air conditioning nor fans. We wanted to open the windows, but because there were no screens, bugs started to fly in. We ended up sleeping a bit uncomfortably. Also the some of the beds we had could have used upgraded mattresses. But overall we would give it a 9.5 out of 10 and would gladly stay there again.
Do you have any other comments? This is a wonderful villa in a wonderful spot. The location is convenient and being able to "take the day off" by the pool made the whole vacation relaxing. We still miss the view from the pool side.

What were the highlights of your holiday? We loved traveling the countryside in our rental cars, a little apprehensive at first, but after the first day we felt like real Italian drivers. The GPS systems were life savers. Eating in the Grand Square in Arezzo. Assisi and Florence were definitely must see places and our children (adults) loved the Chianti region and wine tours.

Likes: Your attention to details and everything delivered to us on time as expected. We were particularly pleased by the attention we got from Roberto Marchi - he cleared the swimming pool every morning, visited us from time to time to see that we were happy and had everything we needed. On our arrival, one car got lost by missing the correct autoroute exit: Roberto kept in touch by mobile phone and eventually met us in Antria and escorted us from there to Poggio. We had to leave early on the Saturday to get to Nice in time for the Autorail service - no problem for Roberto: he delivered our deposit the night before, and arranged for us to leave all the keys in a safe place when we departed at 06:00 am.
Dislikes: No significant problems. Two of our party dropped out at the last moment which meant that the rest of us could spread out in the Villa - we would have been a little cramped with 10 in the accommodation available.
Storage for clothes was very limited, but again the dropping of two of our party meant that was not a problem.
There were only 6 sun loungers and three umbrellas - with 10 in the Villa that would have been a problem.
Overall impression: Excellent. The approach road was a bit rough, but once we got there we were happy.[Our comment: road is all tar although narrow in places]
Highlights: Visits to Florence and Sienna and to some of the local towns (Arezzo,

Now to the villa itself. How amazing it was, not a speck of dirt in site, very large, spacious and airy and to top it all, Roberto and his wife were absolute darlings, so hospitable and generous to us as a family. We will definitely be going back at some point if only to see them again.
The swimming pool was great with lots of swimming aids for the children to play with. We will send you photos as soon as possible. Roberto gave me his E Mail address but I have misplaced it. Please could you pass on our E Mail address to Roberto to E Mail me and I can then reply to him. Heand his wife were such amazing hosts.

Overall impression: It was exactly has advertised and if anything we were even more impressed with the real thing. Roberto, the property manager and owner, is a lovely man and he added to our experience. He met us on the highway after midnight to show us the way so we would not get lost which was above and beyond! He also came by briefly each day to maintain the pool which allowed us to ask questions about various apects of the house that we might of been usure of.

Le site est très beau. Superbe piscine avec vue sur les collines toscanes. Bon emplacement pour rayonner dans la région .De plus, le propriétaire était très agréable et discret, juste ce qu'il faut!nous avons apprécie son attention pour notre arrivée : une bonne bouteille de Chianti! Au niveau du logement : très bon équipement , tout était fourni.

La Toscane en elle seule , Florence , Sienne, Arezzo, Etc.. Et le paysage qui est une oeuvre d'art à lui tout seul, et les gens, comme le paysage doux, calme, reposant : La dolce vita quoi!
