L'Agrifoglio est une charmante maisonnette individuelle dans un tout petit hameau toscan typique de fermes du XVIIIe siècle qui s'appelle Bricciano, où des habitants locaux vivent. La maisonnette a été restaurée avec soin par son propriétaire actuel, un artiste qui parle anglais, afin d'offrir une maison confortable avec des sols en terre cuite et des plafonds ornés de poutres en bois dans toute la propriété.
Pour le loisir des clients de L'Agrifoglio, située à quarante mètres de la maison dans le hameau, la piscine est entourée d'un grand jardin face au sud, offrant une vue splendide des collines de vignobles du Chianti, des oliveraies et de la forêt de chênes. Les propriétaires utilisent la piscine occasionnellement.
La maison possède une ravissante terrasse couverte meublée qui arbore de belles terres cuites au sol et au plafond, soutenues par des poutres en bois. La terrasse est calme et ombragée, à proximité de la cuisine pour pouvoir aisément prendre ses repas ou se détendre à l'extérieur. Pour entrer dans la maison, il suffit de descendre quelques marches depuis la terrasse.
L'Agrifoglio se compose de deux étages. On arrive à l'entrée principale par la terrasse. En entrant, on arrive dans le séjour. Il y a un canapé confortable et des fauteuils de salon. Cette pièce est équipée de la TV satellite (chaînes d'informations uniquement), d'un lecteur CD, et d'une cheminée idéale pour les soirées de printemps et d'automne. Du bois peut vous être livré sur simple demande. Facturation suivant la consommation. À droite de cette pièce, on retrouve la cuisine familiale entièrement équipée (plaque de cuisson au gaz, réfrigérateur/freezer, four électrique et lave-vaisselle). Pour dîner à l'intérieur du cottage, il y a une table de style toscan et quatre chaises assorties.
Depuis le séjour, un petit couloir mène à une salle de bain avec douche et machine à laver. À côté de la salle de bain, on retrouve une chambre jumelle avec tables et lampes de chevet, et une penderie. Sur simple demande lors de la réservation, cette chambre peut être transformée en chambre double. Sinon, elle sera comme dans la description.
Dans le couloir, un escalier mène au premier étage. Vous y retrouvez une belle chambre double avec un lit en bois bas. Les tables de chevets, lampes, commodes et penderie sont assorties. Au premier étage, on trouve une deuxième petite salle de bain, bien conçue, avec douche.
En face, on retrouve la deuxième chambre, spacieuse et luineuse. Elle dispose d'un joli lit en bois, d'une coiffeuse et d'une penderie. Deux fauteuils confortables viennent compléter le mobilier de la chambre. Les fenêtres donnent sur la campagne environnante.
Si vous souhaitez un lit pour bébé, il sera installé dans la chambre du haut à moins que vous ne spécifiez votre préférence pour un autre chambre.
Le propriétaire n'accepte pas les animaux domestiques.
De l'eau potable fraîchement filtrée est disponible dans cette maison.

Infos Piscine
A quelques pas de la maison, se trouve une grande piscine très agréable. Entourée de pelouse, elle offre une très belle vue sur les collines du Chianti tapissées de vignobles, d'oliveraies et de forêts.
Plusieurs transats permettent de se détendre autour de la piscine.
La piscine mesure 10 x 5 m, sur 1,40 m de profondeur. Elle est ouverte de avril à octobre.
Ville la plus proche
Barbischio est le village le plus proche, à 1 km de là. Il n'y a aucun magasin dans ce village.
La ville la plus proche est Gaiole, où vous trouverez un choix de magasins et de restaurants. Cette ville est environ à 4 km de L'Agrifoglio.

What was your overall impression of the accommodation? The accomodation was fabulous. The size of the master bedroom is the size of the downstairs of my house. The owners were very helpful and friendly. Drinking water was provided free as it came from the local well, a lovely thought. Every utensil and appliance was available, so it made staying their very easy.

Was waren die Highlights Ihres Urlaubs? Die Freundlichkeit der Vermieter, Einladung zum gemeinsamen Pizzaessen beim Vermieter. Überraschnng der Hinfahrt .. zwischen 2 Felsen bergab....
Dann natürlich das Wetter, die Städte Radda, Florenz, Siena, San Gimilano und die vielen kleinen Toskan Dörfer, Gasfreundlichkeit, Eisenbahn fahren.
Ausflug nach Castiglion Fibocchi in die Fattoria La Vialla. Tolles Embiente mit einer sehr presiwerten, aber hoichwertigen Verköstigung (5 Gänge für 22,- €) und anschließender Möglichkeit die Produkte einzukaufen.

What were the highlights of your holiday? The location of our rental was ideal for our purposes. We were close to all the cities that we wanted to visit. I do think that our greatest highlight was being away from the turist hoard. It gave us a chance to experience more of the real character of Tuscany. The small towns of the Chianti region have so much to offer that I think we enjoyed them the most. The food and wine is without comparison.

The road leading to the actual property was a bet rough. I'm glad that the weather was dry as if it had been raining it could have been quite an adventure. The actual accommodation was very clean and comfortable. As in all remote locations of Europe the water could have been better but not a great deal of a problem. Owners of the property could not have been more helpful. Any and all questions were answered with the greatest of curtesy.
Did you have any unpleasant surprises? I can honestly say that this vacation went off with out a hitch. The weather was fantastic. Not a drop of rain until the afternoon before we left. Could not have asked for better.
Do you have any other comments? On our last day in the Chianti region we were in the little town of Radda. We stopped at a very small outside cafe for some lunch. The weather was warm and sunny. A perfect fall day. The following morning were to leave for three nights in Rome. As we sat enjoying the food and wine we happend to mention to our waitress that tomorrow we were off to Rome. She remarked, why go to Rome when you are here in Paradise. We sat at the cafe for the better part of three hours. The food, drink,company and scenery were like a drug. When it finally came to leave I said to the waitress the indeed she was right, it was a Paradise. I can only hope to return some day and enjoy it again.

What were the highlights of your holiday? Cooking class with Luciana, what a terrific experience. We cooked up a five course meal and dined like kings that evening. We celebrated our 30th anniversary here at L'Agrifoglio and couldn't think of a better place to be. Market day at Panzano, day in Sienna, lazy afternoons in the main piazza of Gaiole in Chianti. There were so many highlights. The best highlight of this accommodation though is Holly herself.
what was your overall impression of the accommodation? Wonderful, wonderful accommodation. Holly, Lucca, Chiara and Giarda were a joy and couldn't have been more helpful. They treated us more like friends than guests. The villa was so comfortable, lovely and warm. The beds were to die for, lovely soft feather pillows and warm snuggly feather doonas. A beautiful atmosphere in the hamlet, with cats and dogs to say hello to each day. To say we enjoyed staying at L'Agrifoglio would be an understatement.

Our Italy vacation was truly outstanding in many ways thanks to you and your excellent service. We have been showing pictures of our trip to many of our family and friends and we've heard this comment more than once, "How did you find this gorgeous place?" Of, course we readily give out your web site.
Your service was wonderful. I particularly liked your prompt responses to my e-mails and your detailed instructions and suggestions. As to our accomodation, I can only say that it's not often that an accomodation exceeds my expectations. This one did! Also, our hosts were absolutely wonderful.

Overall impression: Absolutely charming! It was immaculate, had everything that we needed right down to the most amazing views from our bedroom windows. The grounds were impeccable with huge pots of shrubs, flowers, and herbs artfully placed on the patios and around our villa. Holly and Lucca, our hosts were delightful. They were accomodating, helpful, friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant and memorable.
Highlights: Lucca's pizza. Our hosts had us for supper one evening and Lucca made the most amazing pizzas. We were happily surprized and pleased to have been invited into their home and treated as friends.
Unpleasant surprises: Not really. The traffic in Florence was an eye-opener! And the parking or should I say the lack of parking in all of the cities was a challange to say the least. We solved this by driving to the nearest train station and taking the train into the bigger cities. Much more relaxing and not as stressful. All part of the Italian Adventure.

was enough room for four people in the house. The kitchen was well
equipped for our needs. The surroundings with the vine yards and olive
groves were so peaceful. We also enjoyed the large terrace.
Highlights: Luca and Holly, the hosts, were unbelievably friendly and
helpful and made us feel at home. We did a lot of sightseeing driving
along the small country roads and visited Sienna, San Giminiano,
Cortona, Pisa, Florence (by train) and many small towns and villages.
The villa is conveniently situated for visiting places. For me the
absolute highlights were the days spent by the pool painting and
enjoying the Tuscan colours and sunshine. The town festival in Gaiole
was also an nice experience. We spent a wonderful Sunday afternoon with
our Italian friends who came to visit us.

Overall impression: The location of the accommodation was fantastic. The setting was so beautiful that each morning I would wake up and exclaim: "Yep, another day in paradise!" L'Agrifoglio had everything we needed, was well laid out and perfectly comfortable.
Highlights: We were within an hour's drive of everything we wanted to see and do.
Driving around the countryside and exploring the towns in the Chianti hills was a definite highlight. The same feelings came flooding back to me on a return trip to Sienna. That town takes my breath away.
Our hosts Holly and Luca were terrific and very generous with the attention they gave us. We felt very much at home.
Unpleasant surprises: There were absolutely no unpleasant surprises.

Driving around the countryside and exploring the towns in the Chianti hills was a definite highlight. The same feelings came flooding back to me on a return trip to Sienna. That town takes my breath away.
Our hosts Holly and Luca were terrific and very generous with the attention they gave us. We felt very much at home.

Overall impression: amazed..it was even more beautiful than we had
imagined. accomadation was superb with 2 large bedrooms and a fab bathroom with power shower for each, very well equipped kitchen with a sofa to chill out on, super outdoor dining room perfect for late night drinking and card playing, plus the most stunning secluded swimming pool...this was all surrounded by vines,olive groves or woods... and with the lovely family on site and holly's fab attention to detail it took it to from very comfortable to perfect.

pool gazing at the clouds,listening only to the birds surrounded by woods and olive trees.....photos of me running through field of sunflowers..... the owners in the house next door...such a lovely family who had renovated the place themselves and were so friendly and an amazing source of local info.holly taught me to make tirimasu and even had a bbq for us and the hamlet so we could watch the world cup final.

you do have to drive to get anywhere on unlit dirt tracks..but the place is so fab we tended to go out in the day ie siena,markets,lunch in the sun or wine tasting then spend late afternoon by the amazing pool, cook and just relax at the villa so no-one had to drive!

Absolutely loved the accommodation and the weather it was magic. I have no complaints at all-the owners were lovely and welcoming. The ambience of the property was just wonderful. We got continually lost driving around but that is Italy

Le site est très beau. Superbe piscine avec vue sur les collines toscanes. Bon emplacement pour rayonner dans la région .De plus, le propriétaire était très agréable et discret, juste ce qu'il faut!nous avons apprécie son attention pour notre arrivée : une bonne bouteille de Chianti! Au niveau du logement : très bon équipement , tout était fourni.
