Il Molinaccio fut acheté par la famille Ricasoli, propriétaires du Castello di Brolio, près de Gaiole in Chianti, et qui en a fait un moulin. Les armoiries de la famille Ricasoli sont toujours là et sont visibles sur la façade principale de la bâtisse. Les propriétaires actuels ont entièrement restauré et réaménagé la maison et la grange, préservant l'histoire de la propriété tout en introduisant le confort moderne d'aujourd'hui.
Cette propriété se compose d'un bâtiment principal avec 5 chambres, et d'une grange transformée en deux appartements une chambre. La maison a été entièrement rénovée en 1999, et tout a été mis en œuvre pour garder la structure historique du bâtiment.

Cette propriété se compose d'un bâtiment principal avec 5 chambres, et d'une grange transformée en deux appartements une chambre. La maison a été entièrement rénovée en 1999, et tout a été mis en œuvre pour garder la structure historique du bâtiment.
Des matériaux de la région ont été utilisés dès que possible, ce qui signifie que cette propriété offre tout le confort du XXIe siècle, tout en gardant ses caractéristiques d'origine. C'est un endroit unique pour vos vacances.
La villa et les appartements se trouvent au milieu de cinq hectares de bois et d'arbustes, ce qui en fait un endroit très intime. Devant et à l'arrière de la maison, on retrouve deux terrasses pour vos repas en extérieur. Un petit affluent de la rivière Massellone traverse le jardin. Cette partie du jardin n'est pas clôturée, il faut donc faire attention avec les enfants.
La maison et les deux appartements offrent une superbe vue sur le château de Meleto, et sur le village médiéval de Vertine.
On entre dans la maison principale par une double porte qui s'ouvre directement sur une grande cuisine. En bas, toutes les chambres sont carrelées et ont un plafond voûté en brique. La cuisine est entièrement équipée (blocs en bois, four intégré, plaque de cuisson, réfrigérateur/freezer et lave-vaisselle). Il y a un placard dans le mur d'un côté, et une table et des chaises devant un bahut en bois de l'autre.
À gauche, une porte voûtée en brique mène au hall central, et à la salle de bain avec douche. Sur la droite du hall, une porte s'ouvre sur la salle à manger principale. Une autre ouverture voûtée en brique mène au salon. Il s'agit d'un bel espace de détente avec de grands canapés très confortables, disposés devant une cheminée à foyer ouvert. Il y a la TV satellite, un lecteur DVD et une chaîne hi-fi. Une porte-fenêtre s'ouvre sur une terrasse aménagée donnant sur le jardin.
À gauche du salon, une porte s'ouvre sur la salle à manger. Cette pièce est très spéciale, avec sa superbe fenêtre qui va du sol au plafond. Elle est décorée de pièces de ferronnerie d'origine d'un côté, et d'un four à pain (qui fonctionne toujours) de l'autre. Au centre, une grande table en bois peut accueillir 14 personnes. Tout autour de cette pièce, on retrouve une collection d'objets qui servaient quand celle-ci était un moulin.
L'accès à la chambre du bas se fait par la salle à manger. Il s'agit d'une grande chambre avec un plafond légèrement voûté qui date de l'époque où il y avait une tour sur ce site. Cette chambre est équipée d'un lit double, d'une penderie peinte, d'une commode, d'un lit pour bébé, d'une TV et d'un canapé.
L'escalier en pierre d'origine a été joliment restauré, et il va de la salle à manger principale à l'étage. Cet étage a conservé son sol en terre cuite du XIXe siècle et son plafond aux poutres apparentes, typiques des fermes de la région.
Le hall donne sur deux des chambres, sur la grande salle de bain, et sur le salon de l'étage. Ce petit salon dispose de fauteuils confortables et d'un bureau. Les murs sont décorés d'étagères remplies de livres. Tout est organisé autour de l'énorme cheminée à foyer ouvert d'origine avec son poêle. C'est un endroit idéal pour se détendre après une longue journée.
La chambre principale se trouve à gauche du coin salon. C'est une pièce très claire et spacieuse, avec trois fenêtres donnant sur le jardin et les collines. Elle est équipée d'un lit double, d'une grande penderie, d'une commode et d'une TV. Elle dispose de sa propre salle de bain avec douche.
La troisième chambre double est à droite du coin salon. Elle est équipée d'un lit bateau double en bois et d'une grande penderie. Elle donne sur le jardin.
Une autre chambre double située à gauche du hall dispose de deux fenêtres qui donnent sur le jardin. Elle est équipée d'un lit double avec tête de lit en osier, d'un canapé, d'une grande penderie, et d'une commode.
La quatrième chambre à droite du hall est équipée de lits jumeaux, d'une grande penderie, et d'une très grande commode. Deux fenêtres donnent sur le jardin. La grande salle de bain familiale se trouve à côté de la chambre jumelle. Elle est équipée d'une baignoire-douche.
La grange a été transformée en 2000 en deux appartements une chambre. Situés à proximité du bâtiment principal, ces appartements sont parfaits pour des familles ou des groupes qui veulent garder un certain niveau d'intimité.
Le premier appartement a une baie vitrée qui s'ouvre sur un salon/cuisine/salle à manger ouvert. Le séjour a un haut plafond d'un côté, et il y a une mezzanine où se trouve la chambre, au-dessus du salon/cuisine. La cuisine est en bois et toute équipée (four, plaque de cuisson et réfrigérateur/freezer). Sur un côté, il y a une table et des chaises. À gauche de la cuisine, trois marches mènent à un petit passage qui s'ouvre sur la jolie salle de bain carrelée avec douche.
Un escalier en bois mène à la mezzanine qui donne sur le séjour. Ce grand espace ouvert est en parquet. Il est équipé d'un lit bateau double en bois et d'une grande penderie.

Excellent pour les grandes familles ou pour les groupes qui veulent garder un certain niveau d'intimité.
Superbe endroit pour visiter les sites historiques d'Arezzo, Cortona, Pise, San Gimignano, Montalcino et Montepulciano. Ces sites sont tous à 1h/1h30 de route.

La piscine en L est nichée dans les parterres spacieux des villas, entourés de bois. Vous y accédez en traversant un pont de bois qui enjambe la rivière de la propriété. La terrasse pavée de la piscine est meublée avec des lits de bain, des chaises et des parasols.
La piscine fait 14 mètres sur 7 et a un plongeoir. Elle est ouverte de mai au 15 octobre.

La ville la plus proche est Gaiole in Chianti, à 3 km. À proximité, vous trouverez Castello di Broli, dont le propriétaire possédait aussi autrefois Il Molinaccio lorsque c'était un moulin. Cela vaut bien une visite.

What were the highlights of your holiday? We spent our time in Tuscany touring around by bus with a hired driver (Silvia...from Piemme Service). We visited incredible places such as Volterra and Cortona and Siena and Montalcino and much more. We visited wineries such as Ricassoli and Banfi and had amazing dinners at restaurants and at the villa. Having Chef Mimmo cook for us one evening was a highlight. We also enjoyed dinner at La Botte di Bacco in Radda and at Il Latini in Florenece (suggested by Stephen and Cathy).

The owners....Stephen and Cathy...welcomed us upon arrival and then left us alone all week. We ran into them one day in Cortona...which was a pleasant surprise. The villa is well-equipped, spotlessly clean, and is convenient for day trips throughout Tuscany. There were 12 of us at the villa and everyone was delighted

We left Tuscany and took the train to the south of Italy where we stayed at an amazing hotel near the village of Pisticci in Basilicata.....Hotel Torre Fiore. The three generations of us enjouyed our stay. The house is beautiful and very well kept. The garden is spacious and relaxing. We will have many fond memories. "As a wedding planner I’m always on the look out for great venues, sadly I can’t take the credit for finding this villa as the bride and groom found it but it’s certainly one that I will recommend to future clients. The villa is the perfect setting for small intimate weddings, it has loads of great spaces to use, which is really important when choosing a venue for your wedding. Whether dining outside, by the pool or in the large dining room your guests will be guranteed maximum privacy plus all the creature comforts you expect. The villa is in a beautiful location and the photographer had a ball taking photos of the happy couple, and the personal chef who cooked the wedding breakfast was really happy with the kitchen, loads of workspace and equipment. The owners were super available to answer any questions relating to the actual wedding day. A perfect location".

It took months of planning to find the right house for our family reunion. Il Mulinaccio was PERFECT. It lived up to all our expectations and some. Our Christmas together was wonderful and we spent the week together cooking, drinking local wine, walking, playing and more cooking. We ate like kings and queens all from your wonderful well stocked kitchen. The herb garden came in very habdy as did the wild rocket. We had fantastic meals together.

We had a wonderful holiday in this fantastic house in one of the most beautiful parts of Italy. The situation and size of the house enabled us to to have the whole family together but gave us space and privacy if we wanted quiet time to think and reflect.
We will take away many happy memories of good food, wine, frosty mornings, the sun rising out of the mist, magical landscapes of vineyards, ancient buildings and old towns. I could go on and on. We hope to be back.

Il Molinaccio is more wonderful than even the gorgeous pictures can do justice. The owners Cathy and Stephen are so welcoming and go out of their way to accommodate the whims of their guests. The property is wonderfully presented, every amenity from wireless internet to a cupboards full of Tuscan ceramic crockery are all provided. The pool is magnificent, the grounds impeccable and you really will be torn whether to stay at the house or explore Sienna or Florence or any of the myriad smaller towns that the house is so well located for. We were awfully upset when it was time to give the keys back but did so knowing we could always and would love to return

Le site est très beau. Superbe piscine avec vue sur les collines toscanes. Bon emplacement pour rayonner dans la région .De plus, le propriétaire était très agréable et discret, juste ce qu'il faut!nous avons apprécie son attention pour notre arrivée : une bonne bouteille de Chianti! Au niveau du logement : très bon équipement , tout était fourni.
